About us
First, we are friends. Back in 2016, just for fun, we packed our backpacks, took our tent, and started to walk. Since that day, we have never stopped. As the miles piled up under our feet, we realized that ours was more than just travel: it was a lifestyle, characterized by the respect of the environment and based on a philosophy that aims to highlight the pleasure of slow traveling, walking away from the stress of everyday life. In this way, we can also take care of both nature and ourselves, reconnecting with the world that waits for us outside our cities.
When we walk, to fully enjoy our travel experience, we follow three simple principles:
- SLOW DOWN, no need to get hurry, you are walking in nature, not running a marathon;
- OBSERVE, look around you, discover the beauty hidden in every corner and fill your eyes with it;
- PARTICIPATE, do not just look at the world that surrounds you, be part of it! Greet whomever you meet, explore the places you visit, be open to new experiences.

Simone

Teacher of Mathematics and Science, he loves riding his motorcycle and practicing watersports and martial arts. Born and raised in Monte Amiata, he has always been highly interested in nature and everything related to it. In time, he discovered walking as a travel style and founded the Wild Walkers Amiata to share his travel experience. His aim? To live a life dedicated to adventure and knowledge, discovering new places and cultures. His backpack is always ready, waiting for him.
Luca

He studied Japanese and aspires to become a translator. He is also a writer and one of the two founders of the Wild Walkers, but first of all, he is a human being eager to travel and discover new places and cultures. Thanks to his love for nature, he found out the joy of travelling by walking, and after he took his first step on the path, the next ones were just a natural consequence. After more than two thousand kilometers walked, he is not satisfied yet, and every time he reaches the destination, he cannot wait to put on his backpack and leave again. Why? Because the most beautiful path is the one that has yet to be walked!.
Andrea

He prefers to stack up miles riding his bicycle but does not turn his nose up at a good walk, and one reason is that there are places you cannot reach riding a mountain bike. In his spare time, besides pedaling and walking, he contributes to a web radio station (www.radioanimati.it), mainly as a mixing engineer, a role that has held in some of Wild Walkers’ videos too. He does not particularly love spending the night in a tent, so he hopes that his aspiring Japanese translator and Wild Walkers-founder cousin invites him just for daily hikes or walking trips with as few overnight stays as possible.
Jacopo

Sinologist, a teacher by a twist of fate, and illustrator in his spare time. He is a Sagittarius, hence a traveler, as per the stereotype. His studies took him away from home, leading him to distant and unknown harbors. He rediscovered the pleasure of walking not to reach a destination but to walk away from it. Either under quiet tree branches or along dusty city alleys, any place could offer something to be amazed at if one stops and looks around.
